Developing the mind and body is an essential component in the learning process.
Physical Education
Physical education time is fundamentally learning time that is goal centered, rather than activity centered. P.E. class stresses physical activity, not as an end in itself, but as a means toward fulfilling personal potential in all phases of life. The focus of the physical education curriculum is motor skill development, expressive play, health fitness, physical movement concepts, and discipleship intended to develop a Christian lifestyle.
Health Class
Health class provides a model evidence based program that provides a learning opportunity for all students. In health class, discussions are centered around the relevant topics that young people are facing right now in each area of their lives: physical, mental, social, and spiritual. The curriculum provides an environment where teens feel accepted, understood, and unconditionally loved.
